“My roots run deep in the lonely, harsh plains of North Dakota. Where the weather beaten farm houses stand strong, protecting all their generations of souls who toiled in the ground on which they stand. I can remember how the aged wood under my feet creaked loud on those same wooden steps my grandmother and her mother once walked.
Even though my grandmother’s adventuresome spirit swept her far from the land from which she grew up on, her memories of the farm are within reach in her paintings and memoirs.
Maybe this is why I tend to love all things with a little “Farm house” feel to them, and why I have four squawking chickens in the backyard of my coastal home?
Hence the coastal theme… so my grandmother decided on beautiful coastal San Diego to land on and settle down to raise her family, and a granddaughter who grew up surfing those refreshing waves. A granddaughter who went on to find herself a man who can build anything out of wood.
So what exactly is our style? Traditional timeless pieces with a slight “farmhouse” feel alongside décor you would find in a beach cottage.”
